FAQs

  • Why Choose Grace Works Therapy?
I specialize in helping women navigate stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and parenting challenges. Whether you're new to therapy or have been before but still feel something is missing, you're not alone. Many women I work with have done the work—through counseling, self-reflection, or faith—and still ask, "Why do I still feel stuck?" Grace Works exists for that very reason. Whether you're beginning your healing journey or ready to go deeper, this is a special space to uncover what's been missing, rewrite the false messages you've believed, and discover or rediscover the best version of yourself, aligned with how God created you.
  • How will I know if you're the right therapist?
Selecting the right therapist is a personal choice, and it's essential that you feel trust and connection. Exploring my website will provide insight into who I am, my approach, and how I integrate faith with clinical care. I also offer a complimentary consultation to discuss your needs, address any questions you may have, and determine if we're a good fit. You don't have to navigate this alone—let's talk and see how I can assist you.
  • Is online counseling right for me?
Online counseling (telehealth) is a convenient, flexible, and effective option for many women. It allows you to receive therapy from the comfort of your home, saving time and reducing travel stress. It's important to note that online counseling works best if you're comfortable with technology and have a quiet, private space to meet. If you're unsure whether online sessions are the right fit, let's explore that together during your complimentary consultation.
  • What if I've tried therapy before, and it didn't help?
At Grace Works, we go beyond surface-level solutions to uncover the deeper messages shaping your thoughts, relationships, and self-worth. If you've sensed there's more to your healing than what you've received so far, you're in the right place. Our approach has brought hope and healing to many.
  • What can I expect from counseling?
Counseling at Grace Works is a compassionate and collaborative journey. You'll explore your story, rediscover your strengths, and rewrite harmful internal messages with truth, grace, and hope. We'll discuss who you are, what matters to you, and what beliefs may be shaping your life, especially the ones that no longer serve you. Messages such as "I'm not enough," "I'm unlovable," or "I don't matter" will be gently challenged and replaced with powerful truths like "I am worthy," "My voice matters," and "I am lovable." Whether your goals involve emotional healing, stronger relationships, or reconnecting with your God-given identity, I'll be with you every step of the way. Sessions are rooted in evidence-based therapy and biblical wisdom and are tailored to you.
  • How long will I be in counseling?
The length of counseling varies based on your personal needs and goals. Some women benefit from short-term support, while others benefit from a longer, more in-depth journey. We'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust the pace together. There's no pressure; this is your space, timing, and healing.
  • How much do you charge?
A 55-minute session is $145. For self-pay clients, payment is due at the time of service. I accept credit/debit cards, FSA/HSA cards, and electronic transfers to make payment easy and secure.
  • Do you accept insurance?
I accept insurance from BCBS PPO, United Healthcare, and Cigna. I will file claims directly with your provider. You are responsible for the session fee if your claim is not paid for any reason. I'm happy to guide you through the process and answer any questions about using your insurance.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens, and I understand that emergencies arise. Please give me at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee if you need to cancel or reschedule. This policy allows me to manage my schedule effectively and ensures I can provide all my clients with the best possible care. I offer grace on a case-by-case basis and am always open to discussing any unexpected situations that may arise.
  • What theoretical approach do you use?
My approach to therapy is holistic and personalized. I consider all aspects of your life and tailor our sessions to your specific needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and solution-focused techniques. These approaches are designed to help you understand and change the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be causing you distress. I also integrate prayer, Scripture, and biblical truth into our work.
  • How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Just reach out to schedule your complimentary consultation. During this time, we'll discuss what you hope to work through, what's been weighing on your heart, and how therapy might help. It's a safe and welcoming space to ask questions, share your story, and take the first step toward healing and transformation.
